From 4 to 14

Entertaining and educational

Every activity at KidZania is the perfect combination of fun and learning. For example, children learn about human anatomy while performing surgery on a mannequin at the Hospital, or get a degree in archaeology at the University, or create a nutrition & workout plan at the Fitness Studio… Each activity is created by professional educators to blend in local school curriculum for deeper, more advanced outside-the-classroom learning.

Rest assured that at KidZania, your kids are learning while having fun!
KidZania was founded in Mexico in 1999. Today the parks are open for children worldwide: from Japan to Mexico, from Russia to Chile.

Security and Accessibility

Safety and security of our visitors has always been KidZania's priority. At the entrance to the park, each child gets a unique RFID-chip bracelet, electronically matching them with their parent/guardian for the duration of the visit. The bracelet tracks real-time location of the kid inside the park. No child can leave the premises without the adult with a matching bracelet.

KidZania has no blind spots throughout the park and is so safe that if your kid is 8 or older, you can drop them off at KidZania for an independent visit. They will not be able to leave the park until you pick them up, providing your RFID bracelet to the staff members at the counter.

Security

We believe that no child should lack the opportunity to experience KidZania. That is why we created the park as an inclusive environment, where every child is welcome to play and communicate with others. The park is entirely accessible for people with mobility impairment. Apart from that, all our staff members have been trained to be able to effectively communicate with children with special needs.

Accessibility
Real Currency and Economy

Not only do kids master professions at KidZania, but they also get their first financial literacy lessons.

The official currency of KidZania is kidZo. At the beginning of the visit, every child gets a personal debit card that they will use to earn a salary in each profession. The kids exercise independence when deciding what to do with their money: open a savings account, pay for a bus tour of the city, or, spend it all on toys at the Department Store.

The first salary will likely not be enough to cover everything at once — children will have to make their first financial decisions.
In the Emirates children prefer to spend the money right away, while in Mexico they usually chip in to buy something valuable together.
PaZZport

Every child can become a citiZen of KidZania and get their very own personal paZZport — with their picture and name, just like real!

They will be able to collect stamps from each profession they master, get discounts on food and experiences, and parents can set up an online resumé to track all their kid's activities at the park!

There are three tiers of citiZenship at KidZania:
  • Naturalized CitiZen
  • Distinguished CitiZen
  • Honorable CitiZen
You get your Naturalized CitiZen paZZport upon enrollment, and with each 30 stamps from professions you get upgraded one tier for more discounts and savings!

Go to the B-KidZanian office inside the park to learn more and get your paZZport!
Children feel empowered when they receive their very own personal paZZport of the Nation of KidZania.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are there any COVID-19 measures in place at KidZania?
At KidZania, we have always taken the safety and security of our guests as a top priority. During these times, we have made updates based on guidance from health authorities, such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Health Department and local government regulations.

At the entrance to the KidZania airport in Stonebriar Centre, we will measure temperatures, ensure everyone has a proper face covering, and ask COVID-19 related questions about symptoms. This protocol is in place for all visitors and employees before entering KidZania.

Face-covering masks are mandatory throughout the facility for all guests 4 and up, employees, and staff members. Additionally, for any child under 4 years of age to be able to participate in the activities, will be required to wear a face mask as well. We will monitor to ensure everyone keeps them on at all times while inside the city.

In the interest of maximizing safety, we will also be refraining from using children's uniforms inside the activities.

We also established extra sanitation measures, including easily accessible hand-cleaning stations for our visitors and staff members. Our cleaning crew uses a low-allergy hydrogen peroxide cleaning solution to clean all surfaces, including those in high-traffic areas continuously. Besides, a more thorough cleaning process takes place every night after the park closes and before opening.

Children are asked to use hand sanitizer before and after each activity at KidZania.

Finally, KidZania will see a reduced number of visitors per day to ensure compliance with social distancing. The activities (professions) at the park are adjusted to provide for proper space, and all high-traffic areas are marked appropriately.

We are confident that together we can keep each other safe and healthy.

KidZania – Get Ready for a Better World!
Are any activities closed due to COVID-19?
Yes, for sanitation reasons, the following activities will be closed until further notice:

  • Toddler Area
  • Vault
  • Media Center
  • MOOYAH make-your-fries activity
  • Vehicles (Ambulance, Zity Tour Bus)

All the rest of the activities are operating in shifts to ensure guest safety under the limited capacity of KidZania.
What is KidZania?
KidZania is a dynamic city built to inspire, educate, and empower kids aged 4 – 14 through immersive learning experiences.

KidZania originated in Mexico City in 1999 and currently has 28 facilities in 20 countries around the world, including KidZania Dallas.
How does KidZania work?
At KidZania, kids independently explore the city and work their way through a world of possibilities. Kids come to KidZania to take on different roles and make sure the city is fully functioning. KidZania has its own government, rules and economy guided by a Declaration of Independence where kids declared themselves responsible of running the city.

Getting started is simple: kids take on different professions, learn about their roles, put on a uniform, start earning and spending kidZos, while learning and having fun!

From police officer to performer to scientist, KidZania offers more than 100 hands-on role-play activities with a range of difficulty to meet the abilities and interests of every child. Pilots navigate airplanes, television anchors report the news, police officers investigate and chefs prepare tasty food! Real brands represent a variety of industries to make the experiences as close as possible to real life. When kids work, they earn kidZos, KidZania's own currency, so they can pay for goods and services in the city.

Is KidZania educational?
Yes. At KidZania, kids learn through role-play and immersive exploration. Each activity is aligned with educational standards to enhance and develop skills related to communication, financial literacy, creativity, imagination, innovation, problem solving and decision-making. Kids are doing what comes naturally to them while learning and having fun.
Is there an age limit?
KidZania's activities are designed to be developmentally appropriate for kids 4 to 14 years old.

Normally, children under 4 years old are also welcome, but due to COVID-19 sanitation measures, the designated Toddler Area remains closed until further notice.
What can toddlers do at KidZania?
KidZania has a play area called the RightZKeepers Neighborhood, with activities tailored for children 5 and under. Due to COVID-19 sanitation measures, this area will remain closed until further notice.
What can adults do at KidZania?
KidZania is designed for kids to explore their way through the city independently, so only kids can participate in the activities. All establishments have floor to ceiling glass windows to see-in. No adults are allowed to participate, go inside establishments, or hold a spot in line.

Adults are welcome to wait outside establishments or in the Parents' Lounge, equipped with WiFi, TVs, and other amenities. Adults can participate as spectators in some noted establishments such as the Theater, TV Studio, and Interactive Restaurants.

Make sure you follow KidZania Dallas on Facebook or Instagram and check our website regularly for Family Days, where parents can also participate in the activities (limited to 1 adult per child).

For security purposes, adults without children cannot enter KidZania.
How many activities can kids generally complete per visit?
It depends on the amount of time kids' spend in the city. Most of the activities can accommodate 4 to 10 kids at a time and can last between 20 to 40 minutes. Due to COVID-19 and social distancing requirements, some activities have reduced their simultaneous capacity.
What is a Zupervisor?
A Zupervisor is a KidZania trained team member who guides kids during the activities. Zupervisors are present at all times to ensure children understand and perform the respective activities properly (and are having fun while learning!).
Can kids visit KidZania alone?
Kids 8 years of age and older can! You can drop off your child (8y.o. or older) and be sure you'll be the only one authorized to pick them up after a day of independent play at KidZania.

KidZania is designed and built with the safety of all kids' and guests' as our main priority. We require all kids to be checked-in by an adult guardian and receive matching RFID security bracelets. The accompanying adult is the only person responsible and authorized to exit the city with the child that they checked-in.

Kids under 8 must be accompanied by a guardian and remain in the city at all times.
Can adults enter KidZania without kids?
For security purposes, adults without kids cannot enter KidZania.
I have a kid with special needs. Can they go to KidZania?
Kids of all abilities are welcome at KidZania. Our staff and facility can accommodate kids with special needs and disabilities. A guardian or parent can accompany children with special needs and assist them in doing the activities. There are elevators for transferring from floor-to-floor.

If you require any specific accommodations during your visit, please email us at info@kidzaniausa.com ahead of time, prior to your visit.
Is KidZania safe and secure for my kids?
Child-safety measures are integrated into the planning and building of all KidZania facilities.

All kids and adults who enter KidZania are required to go through a security scan and metal detector, as well as wear an RFID security bracelet. RFID bracelets are matched with the corresponding kids and adults. Kids cannot leave KidZania without being accompanied by the adult they arrived with.

Security and other measures such as CCTV monitoring cameras, paging system, and emergency facility features are in place to ensure that every guest remains safe at KidZania.

To attend to medical concerns, KidZania will have a dedicated and qualified first aid team inside the city.
What clothes should my kids wear to KidZania?
While most activities do not have any special clothing requirements, we highly recommend your kid to wear comfortable clothes (pants/shorts for boys, pants/leggings/tights for girls) and closed-toe shoes (no flip-flops, no open back slip-ons).

For your child's safety, the physical activities, such as the Turner Steel Structure and Takis Rope Access Training require closed-toe shoes and pants.
What are kidZos? How do I get them and what can my kids do with them?
KidZos is the currency of the city of KidZania. Kids will receive a Bank Card and kidZos upon check-in. At KidZania, taking on various roles and completing activities allows kids to earn kidZos, which they can either save at the bank, spend or invest. The idea behind KidZania's economy is to teach kids to teach kids about importance of monetary system, financial responsibility and to appreciate the value of work.
